I'm JB on 7.0.6 on my 5S and wanted to update my phone to 8.1 upon hearing the news of a new 8.1 JB coming soon. When I plug in my phone my Mac mini running Yosemite, it tells me to update my phone to 8.0.2. Is this normal? I was under the impression that 8.1 was the latest update out. Is this one of those things that I have to update to 8.0.2 first then it'll ask me to update to 8.1? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I didn't even wait for an answer. The update for my iPhone 6, I downloaded the IPSW file for 8.1 and updated through iTunes. However, my iPhone 5s is on 7.1.2 j/b and will stay there.

No, you don't go to 8.0.2 and then 8.1
If you hit update or restore it will do a check and only option you will get is to go to 8.1
8.0.2 is not signed any more so you cannot go to that version even if you wanted to.

I hit restore and then cancel and it changed from 8.0.2 to 8.1. Looks like it just needed to refresh the screen. Thanks.
