So, when I am using my mouse (wired mighty mouse) it goes spastic on me. All of a sudden it will dart off to the side of the screen when my hand/mouse is still. It is really hard and annoying to get any work done on my computer with this issue. It almost seems like the cursor/arrow is made of metal and the sides and corners of the screen are magnets and it attracts the cursor to the side.

When I called Apple Care, they tried to fix my mouse and ended up sending me a new one. The new one is doing the exact same thing.

Any ideas?

Does the mouse pad that you're using have clear plastic on top? I used to have the same problem a while back when I got my first optical mouse and I realized that the face of my mouse pad was plastic and had a thin layer of clear plastic on top which the optical beam was reflecting in, causing my cursor to randomly go nuts. Haven't had the problem since then after switching mouse pads.

Ummm, could it be that easy? I removed the mouse pad and so far so goo! I hope this is the answer! Thanks for the advise!

Haha yep, the simplest things can cause the most frustration sometimes lol. Hopefully that's all it was.
