Hi,

I am having two issues with my new M1 MBP (Baseline).

First, during my last two charges my MBP did not display a correct charge percentage. i.e., yesterday I charged it to 80% & shut it down as I was going away for over 24 hours. Upon starting my MBP after my arrival it displayed a charge of 86%. Similarly, during my last charge it displayed 92% when I unplugged the charger. Upon restarting it showed 97% charge instead. I then decided to charge it to 100% but the battery continued to display 99% charge for a long time. Upon restart it then showed 100% charge.

Second, having shut down my MBP for over 24 hours when I turned it on my MBP showed an unresponsive and slightly larger trackpad cursor clone, while the actual functioning cursor was invisible. I managed to restart my MBP twice but the problem did not go away. I then managed to completely shut down the MBP & powered it on. That seems to have fixed the issue.

I discovered the first issue before I upgraded to v11.1, whereas the discovered the second one after v11.1

Anyone has any idea what's going on & how to resolve these issues?

I'm seeing inconsistent things related to battery, but I haven't paid attention to charge percent. I'm using command line command to check battery and it varies on battery health by a few percent and definitely what health shows in System Information Report under Apple Menu (Option + System Information)

No Bluetooth mouse or Trackpad affecting the cursor?

I am not using bluetooth mouse. I don't know the reasons for the second visible but inactive cursor. The original trackpad cursor was functioning but was invisible.
