Hey all,

My cursor keep freezing for long periods of time and all I can do is sit and wait. Sometime have to force reboot. usually happens after sleep mode or restart.

Also sometime get the never ending spinning ball when trying to open webpages and some applications.

I did a search but looks like it was old thread before the new MBA came out so wanted to see if there are others having issue with the new MBA and have a solution? Thanks

This time force reboot not working. I think it may be trackpad as none of the gestures are working either. So I have useless computer right now... any suggestion? Thanks

open Terminal

copy and paste one line at a time

sudo chown root:admin /

(you'll have to enter your system password here)

sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel

sudo kextcache -system-caches

allow to complete, then restart and reset the VRAM for good measure, though the Terminal commands alone should fix your issue

I am assuming I will need to plug in a mouse to do this? It seems keyboard
shortcuts not working as well. So cannot access terminal the way it is now.

How do you reset the VRAM?

Thanks so much for the help.
