custom alert tones

so does anyone have any good custom alert tones to download anywhere other than the ones in iTunes? i like short and sweet alert tones and most of the ones on iTunes are long and drawn out. here is a pretty neat one for any xbox users.. kinda quiet though

Probably the same way you can make your own ringtones? Cut an mp3 down to what you want and convert it to whatever iTunes takes.

You could create them with GarageBand or virtually any other sound-creating program.

Edit: Oh I see where this is heading, you have to create m4r files that are 128 kbit max and under 31 seconds long.. You could do this via iTunes.

The files are m4r, there are a ton of free apps to make them, or convert existing ones.

I'm going to make one tonight from the music that plays when you open a treasure chest in Zelda.

The Mario 25th Anniversary soundtrack also included some cool ones last year.

The sound that plays when you get a Metroid item is also a good consideration.

Not sure what will work though. Don't want anything that plays too long if it's just an alert tone.
