custom Alet tones for text messages and other alerts

I though I remebered apple telling us that we would be able to customize alert tones with the 3.0 upgrade. Is that true and how do I do it. Thanks

Umm, I'm still seeing Tri-tone, Chime, Glass, Horn and Bell as my only options. That's not new.

Nope. Nothing I recall about this being announced. You'll have to wait for a jailbreak for 3.0.
