I have an iPhone 3G with OS 3.1 that does not play my custom ringtones anymore. When I receive a phone call, it plays one of the default ringtones (Marimba I think) even though when I look at ringtone settings it shows the ringtone I want to use. I restored my phone this morning hoping it would fix it but it didn't Anyone experiencing this same problem. I wanted to check here before I spent time on the phone with Apple. Unfortunately, there isn't a Apple Store nearby (closest ~100 miles away in KC) so I'll either have to make a phone call or deal with it until the next time I can get to an Apple Store.

Fixed

I called Apple Support and Mike had me sign out of iTunes on the phone and then Reset all settings. Once I did that and selected a custom ringtone, he called and the ringtone worked correctly.
