Custom / Different Mac Mini case

Just wondering, has anyone tried to mount the Motherboard..ect in a different case? I thought of giving it more space / better fan and / or another Hdd too.
Would it mount in any Mini computer case?
Just something different, I guess.

The best option would be, that you make a case yourself. So that can use whatever dimensions you want and also different materials (wood, plastic, metal, paper etc.)
