Hi!

I have 35 iMacs in a school. All have a local administrator account set up. The iMacs are now connected to the domain. They are sitting in an ICT lab, where different domain users will log in and out.

I have created a custom dock on the local administrator accounts. I want all domain users to have the same custom dock displayed when they log in to any iMac.

All iMacs are running OS Version 10.12.3 (16D32)

Has anyone successfully tried this?

Thanks.

You can make a limited-ability user through either Users & Groups or Parental Controls in System Preferences. You can limit the apps they use, whether the FaceTime camera can turn on, and prevent modifying the Dock, among many things.

FWIW, I used to have a locked-down profile for any time someone wanted to borrow my laptop. That was years ago, though, and everyone owns their own laptops now, so nobody asks to borrow mine anymore.
