I am looking at moving my family's email from GSuite Legacy into iCloud using our custom domain. All of our Apple IDs are currently based off the custom domain, all of us actively use the email accounts, and all of us share an Apple One subscription through family sharing.

The problem comes in when I try to setup the domain in iCloud. I select that I want to share this domain with others, but I don't see a way to add their accounts as part of the setup process. The Apple documentation (here:https://support.apple.com/guide/icloud/add-a-custom-domain-mma473945269/icloud) makes it sound like I should be able to setup their accounts during the initial setup. I really don't want to switch the DNS records until I know all the email addresses are setup so that we don't lose any messages.

Has anyone else setup their family with Custom Domains? Did you setup family email addresses during the initial setup or can I add them later. Anyone had problems adding family members whose email address is their Apple ID?

All the members of my iCloud Family appeared automatically for me in Step 2 (after providing the domain I want to use). If you don't see that, is it possible one of the other family member accounts is the admin / family owner and not your account?
