iCloud Custom email domain could not be loaded

Hi everyone,
I try for quite some time to add my domain to iCloud, but I am receiving this "Custom email domain could not be loaded" notice again and again - why?

may I ask, why are people moving their domain over to Apple? Like, there's no beneficent. The stock mail app doesn't offer much...

I've tried Outlook, but the Mail app is the most convenient to me

Any chance you're using the iCloud Beta webpage (beta.icloud.com)? I had that issue there, but all fine when I went to the regular one.
