Could someone PM me a link to a custom ipsw 3.1.2 with Cydia for ATT network. I am a windows user. Thanks in advance

If it's for AT&T and you don't care about updating the baseband (unlocking) then you can just update with iTunes to 3.1.2 and then use BlackRa1n to jailbreak. It aparently does it in a couple of seconds.

Edit your post please that IPSW upgrades BB. dont know if OP wants that.

iReb puts your phone into some sort of "recovery" mode which allows you to bypass 16xx errors in iTunes.

Well i have a 2G. Do i even need a custom IPSW? I dont think i have to worry about a basebamd update but i want to make sure since i am already unlocked. I also heard that blackra1n doesnt have a hacktivate so if we use that us t-mobile users could have a tough time activating? Or no?


I wonder why the dev team is doing a windows version for pwnage?

Also, my Daughter has a 3G using AT&T but she is jailbroken. Can i just update hers through iTunes and use blackra1n or will i still have a activate problem?

EDIT: without the BB update as well. Need to keep this thing unlockable as I travel back to Canada all the time.

blackra1n doesn't work at all for me
 
I need at least 1 for a 3G with cydia using AT&T

And my 2G , if needed... with cydia unlocked w/ t-mobile

I have no idea how to make these custom IPSW things.
 
Ditto, Could someone pm me or email me a nice custom 3.1.2 custom ispw for an att user with a 3gs like myself. Freaking sucks i have windows.. I dont want to use black rain
 
From Xsellize.... These all preserve the Baseband (Meaning your phone will stay unlockable.)

These ipsw (upgrade files) are for those devices who are using the ultrasn0w or yellowsn0w and rely on unlocked iphone SIMPLY SAID : people who have UNLOCKED iphones and want to upgrade to OS 3.1.2 and jailbreak and don't want to lose there unlock can use these ipsw files to restore and jailbreak there iphone and BASEBAND will remain unchanged !! to make a call or use the SIM card with carrier that is not official carrier. With these custom .ipsw files for OS 3.1.2 the baseband of iPhone 3G and 3GS ius not changed which makes it possible to stay unlocked. these files are made with PwangTool 3.1.4 and you don't need to have a jailbreaked iphone these custom .ipsw files supports out of the box.
How to install :


SIMPLE :
  1. FIRST always do a backup of your iphone or ipod touch
  2. Download the files (are RAR) and open them and drag and drop the folder to desktop
  3. just open iTunes and connect iPhone and then hit RESTORE + SHIFT and browse to the custom made .ipsw files you downloaded
  4. Now begin restoring thats all !!
  5. When restore finished you can now restore from backup to get all informations you had

Here you guys go. I'm currently using the 500mb partitioned Non activated 3GS version and my girlfriend is using the 3G version of the same. Both are working fantastic.

This was the reason for the larger partitions...... But you don't need the large partition anymore because Cydia doesn't install programs into the root folder anymore (I think Installer was the only one to do that). So setting aside 1GB is kinda a waste.

I'm using the 500MB version on my phone and my girls phone with no issues at all.
