Ok, if i create a custom ispw for my ipod touch, iphone 2g or 3g etc... can i just create one custom ispw and save it to my computer and restore multiple phones with the same ispw? Probably a noob question but it's nice to know.

Provided they are the same type of device, yes. Such as a custom IPSW for a 3G will jailbreak any 3G device, but not a touch or 2G. Just make sure you boot into DFU mode.

How do you boot into DFU mode?
