I have been able to put ROMs in my phone through things like fugu and cyberduck and use installer.app, but I am having trouble searching and finding and answer to how you get a custom lock screen and custom slide to unlock button. edit: when I say a custom lock screen I mean an actual image from the internet not a picture from my photo section on my iPhone.
Anyone know a simple way to do this stuff, I am kind of hoping there was some way to use fugu and just place some file name with a picture or something?

Thanks for the help.

To edit the text you have to add a file into the springboard.app directory. Scroll down til you see "SpringBoard.strings".

http://www.hacktheiphone.com/iphone_downloads.html

You can open it with any text editor. Its does not replace any existing file, but works. Just find the strings you want to change and do so, such as the "slide to unlock" or "slide to power off" etc. There are strings for almost EVERYTHING in there. Instead of "searching" when you turn it on as it locates a cell signal, mine says "GSM Scan in progress".
