I added some custom tones to my iPhone (which was made far more difficult since they ditched iTunes' syncing option for tones on Catalina), but how do I add them to my Mac?

For example I want to make a custom tone active for the new email alert. But my Mac won't let me select anything but the built in tones. Doesn't show the ones I added to my other devices via Finder.

Same for all the other notification tones. I have a custom one on my iPhone and iPad, but the stock options are all I got on a Mac. Doesn't matter if it's Mail, or Messages, or Calendar. Am I missing something?

Basically I want any tone I downloaded from Zedge to be usable for Mac notifications. I've already converted them to M4R files

I too have the same question but To expand it further, is there a way to “sync” tones across my iPhone, iPad & MBP. When I receive a text or call, I am treated to a cacophony of sound if I have multiple devices in the same room.

Put tones in ~/Library/Sounds (convert to AIFF if necessary, not sure if mk4 works).
