is it possible to put a custom OS on the iPhone ? for instance puting the OS of a blackberry or the palm pre?

1. I don't think so.
2. Why would you want to? Didn't you buy the iPhone for the OS aswell? If you want blackberry / palm pre's OS why didn't you just buy one of them? :|

Well the Blackbery or Palm Pre OS is never gonna run an iPhone. That should be obvious. :rolleyes:


However, if you want the screen on your iPhone to resemble a Blackberry or Palm Pre there are themes for that.

They run different file systems and have different hardware...

Can/do Windows Mobile/WebOS even run on an ARM? If not, the architecture is completely different, making it doubly impossible.

Don't the Pre and 3GS use the same CPU?
 
back in my wm days we used to put custom roms on our phones i wonder if someone can take an .ipsw and customize it to thier liking maybe even tweak it for performace or whatever the case may be
