custom ringtones gone

in settings/tones
it used to have three categories:
Custom Ringtones, Ringtones, Alert Tones.
Now it only has the latter two.

this is iPhone 4, since upgrading to iOS 5 and iTunes 10.
any ideas?

Re-sync with iTunes 10.5 and make sure the ringtones are selected in the Ringtones tab.

I just dragged & drop from my iTunes library it was easier as I don't sync them because they often disappear like most of my music.
