Hi guys,

Just delving into the world of jailbreaking, and having a lot of fun. I was browsing the available packages on Cydia, and noticed one called ToneFX which I haven't heard talked much about on the board.

From the description, it lets you create and use custom SMS tones on your phone without the need to create AIFF files, convert to .caf, and SSH into your phone.

Anyone with any success with the program? Is it easy to use?

I am on-call for an IT company once a month, and alerts are delivered via ssh, so I have to change my sms alert tone often.

I've been using tonefxs for a while, and i like it a lot. You could always just create custom winterboard themes that replace sounds for you, but this is a lot easier. (and i don't like winterboard)

The only downside is the 15sec. limit on alert tones, which might be a phone thing, but 15 seconds of loud noises doesn't always wake me up :(

Thanks for the reply! Does this still require to SSH? Don't want to have to do this if I don't have to.
