I made a custom ringtone and went through the process up to the sync ringtones part. I sync'd, sacrificing my songs, only to find that I don't know where it put the ringtone. How do I find the ringtone I sync'd to it and how to I set it as the ringer?

I've looked but the only options I have are the default tones the 4s comes with and Buy More Tones

Is this a new iPhone 4S or an older model that you put iOS 5 on?
When I did my upgrade I had this issue. I made a folder and put all my ring tones in it, deleted the ones on iTunes. I synced my phone, put the ring tones from the folder I put them in and synced my phone again and it was working then.

I struggled with this for half the day today...what I was able to figure out after syncing about 50 times but no ringtones showing up on my phone was that you have to make sure that you have the artist, song title, year, album title, etc information filled in on the ringtone information section. Makes no sense why, but as soon as I did that I was able to drag the ringtone from Itunes onto my device and it worked fine.

Yeah After I sync'd and it didn't work, I tried to just drag and drop it from my iTunes Ringtone folder to my iPhone (4s, not updated older model), and it worked. However now I can't seem to make playlists through iTunes anymore. I'm not sure if its related or just something I may have changed without realizing. Oh well, different problem for a different day.
