I set up a custom text sound, but for some reason when using it, my phone doesn't vibrate or make any sound when a text is received. It works if I use a stock tone but just not with custom ones. Anybody have any ideas how to fix this?

Yes, I thought I was the only one who had this issue.

I only have this issue though with certain custom text tones, not all (it works half the time), but I've had to resort to using stock tones until Apple fixes this.

I just realized that of the 3 ringtones I made, only one doesn't work. Sadly it is the only one I intended on being for texts. I guess I'll have to make a new one and hope it works.

I fixed this by setting the text alert back to Tri-tone, rebooting the phone, and then switching back to the custom tone. Not sure if switching the tone was necessary so it may just require a reboot.
