i have a 3g iphone running 2.2.1. I have winterboard and open ssh installed on my iphone. i want to change my new mail sound through winterboard. i have a aiff file which is about 2 seconds long. i could use some help in making this sound clip into the sound my iphone makes when i get new mail. i converted the original wave file in itunes on my laptop into an aiff,
file i called it:
it is in a folder which i called
which is in my main folder which i called Knight Rider. i have my main folder on my desktop of my laptop. what i think i should do next is
-the audio clip should be called new-mail.caf right?
-ssh into my iphone (i have cbyerduck) navigate to my themes folder(not sure where this is i have heard it is in like var/stash/themes i think, i have also heard it to be in library/themes?) but i think i can find it, when i find it
-click and drag my main folder, with the aiff sound file in it, into my themes folder(i don't have to put it in the theme i am currently using, do i?)
-disconnect from my iphone
-go into my iphone into winterboard and check Knight Rider
and then when i receive a new e-mail my new sound should play
any help would be appreciated.
