I am running watchOS 7.5 beta. I opened up the AppStore today and saw this message: “What’s new on the AppStore: explore curated watch faces.”

I have attached a screenshot as well.

I doubt that means custom watch faces are coming. I think it is more likely that Apple is adding a section to the App Store to highlight the watch faces with app-specific complications that apps have been able to share since watchOS 7.

edit: Just checked and that screen shows up on 7.4 also. My guess is it may have been there in even earlier builds too. I never use the App Store on my watch.

It’s probably the curated watch faces that we’ve been able to share for a while. Not really custom, but highlighting how users are configuring the face and the compilations they use.
