Is it possible to create custom workouts for activities other than running? Would be especially useful for swimming so that I don't have to remember every set but can simply check the watch.
I could also use (free) third party apps if there is any.
Many thanks in advance!

Yep. You can create a custom workout for any activity. For example, I've set up a custom 20-minute interval training workout for the elliptical.

Curious: Pool Swim workout won't handle your situation? Or looking to track and get notified about "X laps of stroke Y", then "X laps of stroke Z"?

The interval is key when creating custom workouts. I would find youtube videos. I recall Bodyrock.tv had a bunch of youtube videos that were pretty great; using an interval timer to keep you on track and motivated.

But I cannot set intervals such as
100m warmup
5x 200m freestyle
3x 100m backstroke

I can only set global goals of distance or time. Or am I missing something?

I'm looking to be notified about how many laps of x stroke I have to do
