I don't know if I am doing something wrong but I am having trouble placing icons where I want. If I try to leave a 1 or 2 icon gap it is always filled in by other icons. Is it me or it if a bug? Thanks

The implementation kinda sucks right now. Just move them again and eventually, the placement will stick.

It sort of works for me. I have a screen with some icons and some widgets. I expected that when I moved an icon, all of the other ones would stay put but that’s not what I’m seeing. I move an icon or a widget and all of the other ones on the screen still move. I can eventually get it to work with some effort but it isn’t much better than what it was before.

Basically, if I drag an icon over another icon or widget, that’s when everything starts moving around. I hope that this is something that eventually gets fixed because as it is, it’s only marginally more useful than the old way of doing it.

This is not good. I've gotten a couple to stay put, but I'm going to give up, as I don't like being disappointed, lol.

It seems like the only way to get it working is to start with an empty screen and go top left to bottom right. When you add a new icon, it pops it into the first free space and it can be moved. If you move it over an existing icon, everything goes to hell.

They could have designed this by taking any Android phone going back to like 2010 and mirrored how it works. What I think they did is leave the existing crummy stuff always fills the first free spot from top left in place and then they tried to fudge in some method of moving icons that can occasionally leave a blank space if done just right. They should have scrapped what they had before and come up with something new. I hope that they make this better over time.
