Hello, this is my first post on here. Yay! I am hoping you can help. I want to get an :apple: iMac and I need your help on how to customize it.

My needs: I will be using the internet most of the day
Writing documents
Occasionally watching DVD's
Running Spotify
Occasionally watching HD videos on youtube and
Running iTunes sometimes.

I would want the 27 inch iMac quad core.

i5 or i7
4GB, 8GB 4x2GB, 8GB 2X4 or 16GB
1TB or 2TB
Magic Mouse or Mighty Mouse
Wireless or Wired keyboard
iWork or MS Word for Mac
and should I get the Apple Remote? :apple:

Any current Mac is just fine for you. Get the stock i5, even it is way too powerful for you. Try the trial of iWork and Office for Mac and then decide, I personally like iWork. If you don't have iPod Touch or iPhone, then the remote might be useful if you watch a lot movies

The 3.06HGHz C2D will more than suffice your needs.

The i5 or i7 are a bit overkill, but if you want a quad core CPU, take the i5.

And also 4GB will also suffice for now, you can update to 8GB at a later time if you want, by buying 2x2GB RAM modules, as the iMac has four RAM slots.

Magic Mouse
Wireless keyboard if you don't need the NUM pad
iWork, unless you are in full need of all of Excels capabilities
If you need the APple Remote depends on you, I haven't used mine in over two years, but I use my iMac differently.
