I understand that one of the main selling points of ios was and has been its simplicity. However - that is also one of its main points of frustration. Could Apple not find a middle ground?
As an example, I had a Galaxy Note 3 for a while. I was delighted to be able to have an icon on my home screen for the messaging app I use with my wife. One touch and I can get to our conversation.
I also don't want to check the side of my phone to see if it is in silent mode - on the Note - I could glance and see an icon next to the other tiny icons at the top (battery level etc).
Now that smartphomes are ubiquitous, is it only me who would like to see Apple introduce a greater level of customization with my iphone?
