Customize notifications missing

I’m trying to disable repeat notifications for iMessage. Instructions say to go into Settings -> Notifications -> Messages -> Customize notifications. In ios17 it’s not there. I can’t find it. Any ideas? Thanks

It’s there on mine. 17.1 Beta.

It’s a bug in iOS 17.0.2. It should be fixed for iOS 17.1, but that won’t be out till the end of October.

Came to the forums to post a thread about this glitch and can't say I'm surprised to see one already here.

• my iPhone 15 Pro on 17.0.3 has been eliciting double notifications for iMessages. I went hunting for the options to set that back to one because my memory, although senile at times, was pretty dang certain there was a way to do it. (Sure enough there is.) And yet that option was absent and I was rendered confused. 😵‍💫
• Checked my iPad Pro 11-inch 2nd gen and the customization option is definitely present there.
• My Wife has a regular iPhone 15 and the option was present there as well for her. Note that all of our devices were DFU-installed to 17.0.3 with no restores from backup.

So it seems like a iPhone Pro-only thing, at least in this household.

Looking forward to 17.1 and beyond.
