Customize Works ! to edit system strings

I didnt think it would but it does. i am jailbroken 2.2 iphone 3g

i downloaded customize so i could change the slide to unlock and other diferent things with my phone and it worked

wonder why?

Customize won't even open on my phone. Once the flaming chicken goes away and the setting screen comes up, it just crashes.

Have you changed the permissions via ssh to 755 or 777?

For me the easiest way is install ssh, use cyberduck to get into the phone and command - I the app to change permission. You can also use terminal to do this but I like cyberduck.
