From reading around, lower power mode on MacBooks:

Reduces CPU performance
Lowers screen brightness
Turns off Promotion (disables 120Hz refresh rate)
Lowers fan noise (by reducing heat output)

Apple doesn't seem to actually specify any of this.

Has anyone found a way to customize what exactly "low power mode" does on Apple silicon MacBooks? I'd love to reduce the CPU performance on my M1 Max while on battery, but I'd like to keep Promotion on for example.
