Is it possible to turn on a Mac mini with a logitech harmony 520 remote?

If not, which is the case probably,
When I'm not using it, what's the best way to keep power consumption down?

I usually have plex, transmission, clutch, printershare, and airmouse server open at login. All hidden except Plex.

I have it powering off/on close to my usual sleep hours. And the screensaver after 15m.

As far as display and hard disks to sleep I'm unsure. I have the mini hooked to my main tv. And I use the connected fw800 drive to hold my music. So my laptops use it over wifi for iTunes.

Running the screen saver is going to use a lot of power - the screen savers are usually processor intensive. Try just telling the display to go to sleep. You can also tell the hard drives to spin down - but really, my mac mini uses maybe 12 - 14 watts of power when on and not doing anything... what kind of power savings are you looking for? If it is serving itunes media to your other machines, then I think this is the best you are going to be able to do...
