I just recently switched to mac, 
, and there is a program for windows which is wonderful, http://www.download.com/ZipGenius/3000-2250-10179818.html?part=dl-ZipGenius&subj=dl&tag=button, and imbedded into it is a program call Cutter 4.5.
This program will chop any file into pieces and put into a folder with a script that you run which puts all the pieces back together.
My question is to see if there is a OS X equivalent?
