Hi,

I have a PDF file that contains about 12 different logos against white space. I want to 'cut out' and save individual logos as JPEGs, PDFs or whatever so I can upload them to a Wordpress template to see how they work as logos in the header for a web magazine I'm starting.

I don't have Photoshop - I do have Acrobat Pro and GIMP though. Anyone know if I could do this with these (or other free) programs?

Thanks,

SG

With GIMP you can capture the whole screen or sections of it. go to File|Acquire and work it out from there.

Preview is the best tool to use for this, since you can keep the image as a PDF (i.e., hopefully a vector image) and crop things properly (unlike Acrobat).

this might help...

It depends on how the pdf you have was saved...assuming you have acrobat. :D

-Make sure the images is selected in you Import PDF frame (as opposed to pages at the top left)...
-Highlight the images to import by clicking on them (shift+click to select multiples or Command+A to select all)
-Click ok.

How was the PDF made - are they vector graphics? If it was made in InDesign, a slightly messy but easy way is to open the PDF using illustrator to grab the logos...
