App opens up but not file, in both cases. Text edit will open but with a bunch of gobbledegook at the beginning.Have you tired opening them with Numbers or pages?
Will reach out to them, and ask. Thanks.LibreOffice can open .cwk files. If I recall correctly, fonts weren't embedded in the documents. I opened a few of my .cwk files and some fonts DO appear. I don't know if it is a simple font substitution or the font data was stored in the file.
The version on the App Store for about $9?OP:
You don't need to "reach out" to Libreoffice.
Just download and try it.
Libre can open AppleWorks WP and SS files directly.
Not sure about older ClarisWorks formats, but they -might be- the same.
Again, just download the app and give it a try.
Please get back to us with your results, too.
I hope Fishrrman doesn't mind me answering for him, but you can download Libreoffice for free from: https://www.libreoffice.org/The version on the App Store for about $9?
