Ok I kind of asked this question a few days ago but the link trailed off.

I'm trying to work out how to get Cycorder movies off the phone so I can actually do something with them, eg email etc.

So far I've got Fugu which I'm told is used to browse the iphone (now I need baby stepping here so bear with me!)...what do I do next?

I have to connect the phone to the mac...how do I do this? by ad hoc or just have it on the same home wifi network?

What IP address do i put in?

What Port?

What username?

Thanks for your patience!!

Dont use Ad Hoc. Just put them both on the same wireles network.

IP address: On your phone Settings> Wi-Fi> click the lil blue arrow next to your home network name> and the IP Address will be listed there.

Port: 22

Username: Root

Password: Alpine

Answered here.

Just to point out that there's no need to have 2 identical threads going. ;)

use cyberduck and just use the bonjour tab so much easier

you did reboot after installing OpenSSH right?

I use cyberduck and it works.
in the wireless drop down menu (on your comp) on the tool bar just create a new network, and connect to that on your phone.
open cyberduck, and just type in your IP address and all that (Dannybres explained how to do that)
you should be able to then browse your phone's files.

Same info I posted in your 1st thread.

They are stored in "private/var/mobile/media/videos"

Drop on desktop, then get iSquirt (free) to convert to mp4 and import back to iTunes to view in iPod/video if you wish.

Hey, don't forget, Google can be YOUR friend.

You might want to try Cyberduck (free) for OpenSSH from Mac. I think it is easy to use.
