cydelete app notworking on iphone 2g 3.1.2

Recently i updated my os 3.0 to 3.1.2 and its jailbroken.

The problem is , after installing cydelete, when i press springboard into app relocate mode , the small cross bar used to delete apps doesnot show up and i am not able to uninstall app from spring board and i am unable to uninstall apps from appstore at all , as its the only way to uninstall apps from appstore...any alternate to cydelete ???

and what do u suggest os 3.0 or 3.1.2 ??? i see battery is getting drained quickly in 3.1.2
