None of them can compare to Cydia, they are out dated, unstable, and not much better user experience even back then. Cydia is built upon the Debian standard called Aptitude, which is the industry leading, stable, way to distribute packages on posix compilant operating systems.

If you are concerned by the errors you are getting, bite your lip and wait another week, it will over, either by users not hogging the line, upgraded servers or both.

There was one called Lima Installer or something like that But I don't know if they still work on it .

OP was asking about nowlistening alternatives, which I'm curious about as well since the current version creates some very serious graphical errors that renders the phone essentially useless.

NowListening was updated to 1.8.1 and the quarter screen issue was resolved.
