Since yesterday I have been getting this error when I open Cydia:

Error: Database
Encountered a section with no Package: header

uh, what?

Everything seems to be working as well as it did before this problem started. Can I somehow fix this issue or will I have to remove the jailbreak from my phone and start over? (I really hope not)

I've been having the same problem since yesterday. I have deleted and reinstalled cydia with no luck.

Must be a server problem on Saurik's side since the two of you are having the same problem.

I had this same problem and this is what I did to fix it.

Follow this thread >>> Problem with Cydia - Section with no Package: header error

Pay special attention to what I did in post #17 under the Update.

I think it is fixable.

Good Luck...

I've been using Rock for awhile and I think it's better than Cydia.
Best thing from Rock is the ability to restore your apps whenever you want to reinstall the iPhone OS firmware.

I'm not getting an error with Cydia but I can't find all of the applications when I search for them. I know they're available still through Cydia since I can see all of them on my other iPhone. Am I doing something wrong?

iPhone 3G 8GB with 3.1.2 installed. I'm looking for "MMS & Tethering". What am I missing? Thanks for the feedback...
