Several days ago, I came across the error message in cydia which several other people here seem to have experienced. The error message read "Error: Database. Encountered a section with no Package: header".

Taking advice from people on this site (as well as other sites), using WinSCP I deleted the files located in /private/var/lib/apt/lists, not including the partial folder.

Sure enough it worked, the error message disappeared, great. Now, however, I am unable to search for anything within cydia which is not already present on my phone. In example, if there is a theme I am interested in searching cydia for and downloading, the search function only finds programs/apps which are already in my phone (same list as Packages) and nothing else... at all.

Then, after several minutes of trying to solve the problem, the original issue repeats itself (see - error message), at which point the files from lists have re-appeared and I re-delete them. WHAT IS GOING ON?!

Thanks to anyone able to offer up some help.
