I really hope somebody can help me!!!:( Ok so I simply started to update cydia packages and when i came back to my phone I found a frozen wheel. I plugged it into my Macbook and start Itunes and after several minutes it booted but without anything jailbroken related included Cydia, working. Plus my mail don't work, my calendar don't work, Safari, pictures in Messages etc etc.
I own IPhone 4s on ios 6.1.1. jailbroken with Evasi0n and it worked fine for a couple months.
The phone works as a non Jailbroken device, even though I see all the cydia apps that doesnt load but stays in the app switcher.(until I close)
I a virgin to forums so please bear with me but this is last attempt for help to fix before i'm forced to upgrade to 6.1.3 and wait for new jailbreak. (Awwh Please Help!!!)

I had this happen back when I installed that bad NCSettings update a while ago. A simple hard reset had me back up and running (hold power/lock and home until the phone reboots).

When I hard reset it gives me frozen wheel and several minutes before it boots with the same problem and it also seem to be tethered cause it has to be pulg into the computer to boot

I also tried to restore to an earlier backup but it tells me i don't have enough space ( even though I do have over 20 gigs) and it then reboots on its own.

What packages did you update in Cydia? If NCSettings was one of them, your best bet is to try and uninstall NCSettings completely. I can give you the deb for the last working version of NCSettings version 1.6.2. That 1.7.1 update did not like me at all lol. I'm using an AT&T 4S on 6.1.2 and I experienced repeated crashes although I didn't get quite what you describe.

So what exactly all did you update in Cydia?

I don't remember too well what was being installed. I believe that NC settings was one and I thing is saw Springtomize.( I gonna really be more carefully when I upgrade). The thing is I didn't even see the respring button, I started the update and forgot and when I came back it was a frozen wheel. So I hard reset and plug in to computer and here I am. I would appreciate any advice and ideas.

When was the last time you ran updates? If you installed/updated NCSettings to version 1.7.1-1 within the last few weeks (which works great btw, no more problems), there hasn't been an update since then.

I try not to let updates build up, because it seems installing a lot at a time makes things go wonky. I sure hope someone can help you out, I don't really have any other ideas to offer.

Also, hey Bumpy :D

Yeah I'm thinking now that I really should pay attention with the damn updates; and I did it on last Friday the 22nd. I really feel I'm heading to restoring with 6.1.3. Aargh! Hope they come out with a jailbreak soon and thanks for trying to help!

----------

Boot up in safemode, go into Cydia and uninstall the apps.

How do I boot in safe mode?! Please keep in mind Sbsetting and any cydia apps or packages are not loading.

Turn phone off
Hold volume up and than pres power, keep holding volume up the whole time during boot, it should be in safe mode.

YOU THE MAN TriJETHero !!!!:D
Im in SAFEMODE and Im able to remove packages from cydia!!!
Removed Intelliscreen
Springtomize 2
Swipeaway
Winterboard

It stills gives me frozen spinning wheel and then back to the orginal problem any further suggestion as to how fix this.

I still thank you; you saved my jailbreak.

Install SBsettings

go to more/mobilesubstrate addons
there you can disable all yout JB tweaks/apps without installing them, now 1by1 or in batches tunr them back on as to weed oot the one that is faulty. When you found it, first turn it back on in sbsettings before removing it
