Just wondering how safe is cydia is?
I use an iPhone for work and have some sensitive info on it

email addresses, home address , phone numbers , CC numbers

Cydia is safe.

Also, haven't you thought 'what if my phone is stolen?'

I wouldn't say it would be wise to keep credit card numbers on it.
Email addresses + phone numbers are normally on a standard phone so..

whelp, the repo could get hacked, and they change some programs to steal your info. You "upgrade" your current programs to it, and get screwed.

Could be a possibility :)

So you are going to jailbreak a device meant for business? I'd recommend against it lest you possibly be fired. :)

As for your original question, Cydia is safe, so long as you trust the repositories you add to it. The defaults are well known (iSpazio, BigBoss, etc) and tend to be more reputable.
