Since this jailbreak, I notice often when loading app details in Cydia, the Apple App Store is auto-launched. Some sort of script within the descriptions of cydia apps that auto-launch the apple app store... makes it super annoying because I'll be looking at tweaks and all of a sudden the tweak i'm looking at will auto-load the apple app store. Never seen it until this jailbreak, past hasn't done it.

Any way to kill Cydia's ability to do that?

It happened in the evasion jailbreak on 7.0.6 and the Cydia installation isn't doing it.

It's malicious usage of javascript in the description page of some tweaks (mostly pirated repos).

There is a tweak called StoreAlert, which gave a popup whether to ignore or open the Appstore. This needs to be updated for 7.1.

Yeah have the store prompt installed but it doesn't prevent the issue in cydia.

To stop it there would need to be a restriction on content of Cydia apps and tweaks pages, but I don't think Saurik would do that. Or stop browsing those types of tweaks.

The well developed and popular tweak pages don't have this issue. It's the fault of some developers.

I've used the same sources and sMe tweaks since the early days of jailbreak and never had the issue. Oh well guess I just have to deal with it.

Any news about that problem? At the moment it is very hard to scroll in cydia, because many official repos redirect to apps in Appstore.

NoAdStoreOpen is not working.

UPDATE:

StoreAlert was updated with support of iOS 7.1 and is working fine.

I think it is worth pointing out, once again, that this issue is not caused by Cydia but by the operators of repositories, who include this code in their App description pages. Cydia does not serve or control the content of those pages.

But Cydia sure can prevent app store loads if they wanted to.

i was on the big boss repo for days. i had/have no pirated apps/repos/etc. and was constantly getting redirected. I googled the issue and added a repo or two, put in a host blocker, and now its all good again. Was annoying because i was actually trying to look at a tweak that i wanted to buy, but couldn't keep the page up long enough to actually read the full description.

all good now though.

:)
