New it would happen within the next few days. It's not perfect, but says it's as good as he can get on such short notice. Just one step closer to all our tweaks and mobile substrate being updated! :D

The problem I'm having is that the Cydia 1.1.9 upgrade wants to uninstall the evasi0n untether. It fails there and won't install. How can I bypass this?

Ideas?

My devices did not do this, both are 7.0.4, 5S and iPad Air. Did you install the unofficial "updated" cydia which was something like 1.1.8+?

Do I have to uninstall Cydia? If I do, then I'll lose Cydia, no? I can't bypass the evasi0n uninstall. It just keeps failing.

So here is the error but it doesn't make sense. I don't have anything illegally installed.

Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
You are trying to install a new package that contains the same filenames as a package you already have installed, so you cannot install this new package. You can usually avoid this problem by avoiding (or uninstalling) illegally copied versions of packages.

I don't understand what you mean by uninstalling the evasion jailbreak. You mean unjailbreak? Because to unjailbreak, all you do is restore your ipad to previous backups or restore as new.

Mobile substrate is going to be pushed through Cydia anyways.

It's not that I want to unjailbreak. When I try to upgrade Cydia, it wants to remove the evasi0n untether. But it can't. So, Cydia won't upgrade. I'm at a loss.

Maybe I'll just have to restore and then jailbreak again. I don't know. Ugh, it's gonna be a long evening.

Whatever it was, it self-corrected. Cydia updated correctly

Cydia Updated for iOS 7

Anyone else running into this issue? The loading bar overtakes the entire status bar.

I'm on a 5 running iOS 7.0.4

is this like a pop up notification or how do you know cydia is trying to update. I opened cydia and reloded still not seeing the update

That's normal. If you read the cydia description, saurik said his plan is to make that look and behave like the iTunes Store song preview drop down. Unfortunately he did not have the time to implement since mobile substrate needs to be updated ASAP. Hopefully he will circle back later on and finish the update.

Got'cha, thanks for the clarification bud.

Anyone else notice if you go to Manage->Storage Cydia looks like it's freezing, and then when you try to kill it and relaunch it the phone appears to freeze and you need to do a Power+Home combo to reboot the phone?

5S btw.

It takes a while to load. Just wait patiently. It took me about 20-30 seconds. Also if you leave it on that page and go to a different tab, whenever you go back to cydia>manage it is still on that screen and it has to reload. This also happens if you close the app and then open it later. Just an FYI because it's annoying. Now whenever I view my storage I always make sure to go back to the previous or main page on the manage tab.

Sorry for the question but what you can swipe in safari to go back a page? How???

It's a stock iOS 7 feature. You can also swipe to go back in the settings app plus pretty much all the apps that have been updated for iOS 7 also include this awesome feature.
