I have a 3GS and my kids (13 year old son, 11 year old daughter) are each about to get an 8GB Touch. At one point we all had Nintendo DS Lites and enjoyed playing games together via WiFi. Games like Cart DS, Mario Party, etc. were a blast to play, even if they weren't games I would get into on my own. I'm hoping there are games that capture that sort of fun that we could all play on the iPhone/Touch platform. Does anyone know of any? I would even be up for some sports or shooter types of games (my daughter wouldn't play those, but my son and I would).

I would appreciate any ideas on this.

Real Racing for you and your son!
Topple 2, for you and your daughter or son too. Awesome colors and is just fun to look at.

My family enjoys killing time while waiting in lines with Super Monkeyball. It's challenging and fun, and one person's turn never takes long.

2gen touches have bluetooth, and though I haven't tried multiplayer yet the flight control co-op mode sounds fun. I know 1 player mode sure is lol

Thanks for the suggestions so far. We do already have Flight Control, Let's Golf, Real Racing, and Monkey Ball. Will definitely have a look at Topple 2.

Galcon's good as well, to play against your kids, you'd all have to agree on an empty online server, and all hit that server at the same time (otherwise you could be playing against strangers).

You seriously need DrawRace, it's currently racing up the charts at 59p (99 cents).

Think of it as Flight Control but with motor car racing, tons of tracks and you DRAW your route around the track, not just your route though, how slow and fast you draw your route determines how fast/slow the car takes those sections.

Has up to 3 player multiplayer, so you get the red car and DRAW your 2 laps of a track, then your 1st kid draws his or hers 2 laps etc... then you hit the START RACE button and watch the race to see who wins.

Even better than the multiplayer is single player where you submit your best track times to a National (your country) or the Global (world) leaderboards - I play this for hours and hours trying to shave a few tenths off my times to move up the leaderboards, you race against your own shadow car each time.
If you choose to race a network game you actually race against the shadow car of the player who is one place higher than you in the online leaderboards.... just so cool, seriously BUY THIS APP, 5 of my friends already did after me and we all twitter each others best times hehe!
