How do I get a TIFF with an alpha channel or clipping path (preferably Alpha Channel) to work in InDesign?

I would advise you not to use alpha channels or transparent tiffs and to create a clipping path in photoshop and save it as a tiff. I used alpha channels on a piece that was being printed on a web press and the path did not show up on my computer or on a laser printer, but the press proof has ghost around the image. If you are unsure how to do a clipping path PM me.

Since we're talking about it, why not just use a layered tiff or PSD with transparency instead? That's what I usually do and have never had a problem.
