Hi, i hope someone can clear this up for me. I have a 2012 mac mini which i'd like to use with two monitors. Normally you would use the hdmi and the thunderbolt ports for each monitor, but i currently use the thunderbolt port for my audio interface.
Is there a way for two monitors to daisy chain from the hdmi port and be independent of each other or will using an hdmi splitter just make them mirror?

Thanks.

Nope. An HDMI splitter will just cause them to have the same image on both. Your best bet would be to go with a thunderbolt monitor and hook your audio interface into the Apple thunderbolt or LG thunderbolt display.

It's actually one huge advantage of the new Mac Mini's that they have dual thunderbolt ports.
