Damn it, first dents on the MBP... any way to "pop" them out out?

lol, its so frustrating, I took my MBP for a presentation and some idiot knocked the bag it was in, now it is slightly dented (cosmeticaly and very slightly but is still annoying) and the worst part of it all is the clowns who presented before me did a crappy hour long presentation and I did not get to present my own.

So really, I'm fine with it but I was wondering if there is something that can be done to pop it back out and fix it? It is a a very small dent.

I dropped mine and my physics teacher and I took a hammer and some paper towels and knocked it back in mostly. When I upgrade my HD, Ram, and dvd drive I will be taking a rubber mallet to undent it.

I can relate... someone dented my new TSX couple years back without leaving a note. All i could do was either obsess about it or move on... so I obsessed and guess what, it hasn't changed it one bit!! Just accept it and try and fast forward through the initial shock. In the grand scheme of things, its not that bad.

Yah at first the stress marks really bugged me along with a ding my computer shop put in the back of my computer. After A while you'll learn to live with it. I'm just taking it apart anways and might as well try to fix the small dent.

side note: My physics teacher is also a mac fan and I wish I had a camera when I said "do you have a hammer, I need to fix my laptop".

Just a note to anyone who takes their powerbook/macbook pro apart to try to fix a dent. You should put a 2x4 piece of wood on top of the dent and hit the dent with a hammer. I've seen people hammer directly on the dent and make it like 10 times worse, lol.

If the dent isn't creased and in a suitable location (i.e., on a nice flat area), you can try using one of the smaller suction cups used to pull out dents in cars. You won't have to disassemble the computer to do this.

As long as dents and other cosmetic scars are solely caused by myself, I would be okay. But, when someone else did it to my belongs and property, that would annoy the heck out of me. That is part of the reason I cannot take my PBs/MBP out on the road too much as it would be difficult to control outside environment while it is easy to do so at home.
I held my 15" MBP a few days ago to try out Marware's sleeve which came with the Protection Pack Plus. I felt slight flexing of the middle bottom section of the aluminum casing.

Just learn to live with them, and don't make them worse by trying to "pop" them out... Mine fell from the kitchen counter, and got a big dent in the corner. But the PB still works. Awfully sturdy things.

you should have sh*t the b*stard, i am kiddin' ok? now serioulsy, i bumped 3 corners of my previous alubook, i bended the screen back casing (bought a new one and replace it myself), the hardest thing is the first time, after it's easier to swallow

did that to my truck on one of the side panels without a 2 x 4......not a good idea
