Had minor anti-reflective coating issues. Set an appointment to see if anything could be done. They say they'd replace the screen in house. Three hours later my laptop's ready for pick up!

Late 2013. Unfortunately I have no photos. It looked similar to the following, only a much smaller area was affected. But it was spreading every time I wiped the screen, so it was just a matter of time before the problem would get worse.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but they did mine in 15 minutes! I'm not joking.

I've done screen swaps on these, 15-20 minutes is certainly doable. Once the bottom case is open you only have to remove 8 screws (6 for the actual hinge attachment, 2 for little hinge covers/blockers) and disconnect the cables.

On the new ones - at least an hour, there is A LOT to that task.

No glue? Edit: do you mean the whole cover/lid assembly is swapped? I thought it was just the screen part.

I finally took my mid 2013 15" MBP in last week to my college IT department (the university has in house Mac repairs) and they told me it could be one day or longer depending on backlog and if they had the parts available). I picked it up today. The new screen/lid/hinge is quite handsome! My delaminated areas were only around the edges and really didn't bother me at all as I primarily use this laptop with a 30" monitor. But, it would be stupid not to get the screen replaced for free.

(I must add after 18 years of Mac laptops I can't believe how well this 2013 model has held up/performed. It's the first time I've felt happy with a laptop past three years.)

I think the 2013-2014 models are the best. Nice screen, fast ssd, ok battery, good keyboard, and none of that touchbar bs.
