I've been having trouble accessing and loading certain pages from the Intranet. The Apple Store is one of them. After talking to my ISP and re-booting my gateway/router, I'm told the problem is further down the line between the company's Web site and its host. This sounds odd to me, but ok.

In searching out solutions, I came across a thread on this site which suggested a temporary work-around that involves adding some open dns addresses to my DNS settings.

This seems to have worked, but can anyone tell me if there are any dangers or downsides to adding these open dns settings?

For your reference they are:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
4.2.2.2
4.2.2.1

Thank you in advance.

If using OpenDNS has sorted your problem, sounds like it might be an issue with your ISP.

I've been using OpenDNS for the last year, I find it much quicker than the default ones.

I don't think there's any dangers from using it.
