Hi!

I noticed that there appear to be some smudges, darker color areas around text for App titles on the home screen on my iPad 12.9 Mini LED M2. It seems that it is mostly wisible with lighter / brighter color wallpapers. For some reason I can see it in screenshots on other devices as well (See the attached screenshot).

Is this some kind of a “normal” issue with this Mini LED device? Kind of dissapointing…

It's nothing to do with the display. It's just how Apple designed the interface to be. I personally hate it like you do. I think it looks cheap and nasty.

Edit: it's to make the text clearer, but in my opinion I could've done a better job. Also in my opinion, my dog could've come up with a better idea than what they've come up with.

So it is visible on other iPad models in combination with bright wallpapers as well? I do not seem to remember it on 11” Pro. But maybe it is just my imagination.

Yeah, it should be software. Otherways it would not be visible in screenshots.
