Hello... Last week, Apple replaced my faulty LCD screen for free. When I got the computer at the store, I noticed that there are dark corners at the bottom left and right sides of the LCD. I checked other MBP 17" in store but none of them has a dark corner on the bottom left (mine is large and noticeable especially when the background is white or yellow). I complained but the genius said that there are production variations and mine is acceptable within tolerance. She refused to replace a new screen for me even I stayed there for about two hours. While waiting for the store manager to come back, I checked the MBPs in other stores. No such problem as well. Then, I went back to Apple Store to complain to the manager. He told me that he knows nothing about technical issues. He said that he just believe in whatever the genius told him. As the genius said that the dark corners are acceptable, he cannot help me to get a new LCD replacement. He said that if I want to complaint, I can fill in an online form on the Apple website. He hinted that most likely, my request will be ignored.
Anybody has similar experience with dark corners and how to get Apple to replace the screen under Apple Care? I bought the computer half a year ago. As the screen is not perfectly made, I worry that there will be problems later. I also noticed that the camera on the LCD screen does not capture video images as well as the one I had before. Thanks.
